Passenger safety is our top priority and we always want to ensure our drivers are providing the safest possible service.
All Zoomy drivers hold a current Passenger Licence (P Endorsement), which is a special licence issued by the New Zealand Transport Authority, NZTA, granting them permission to pick-up passengers. In order for a driver to attain a P Endorsement the NZTA will check over their driving offenses, behaviour history, any complaints made about the driver that the NZTA has on record, as well as criminal convictions.
Our app allows you to share your trip with friends which includes sharing your destination and expected time of arrival. This option can be found by selecting the ‘Share’ button whilst you’re on your trip.
If you’ve taken a ride with us and your driver has made you feel unsafe then please contact us immediately at firstname.lastname@example.org so that we can discuss this directly with the driver and depending on the severity we will inform the NZTA and potentially remove them from our platform.
If the driver’s behaviour involves, violence, sexual offences, assault, or driving under the influence then it is vital that you contact the NZ Police immediately, they can be reached at 111. Once you’ve contacted the police please don’t hesitate to reach out to us as well so we can take the steps to ensure this won’t occur again. We can be reached at email@example.com.
We always want to ensure that you feel safe when choosing to ride with Zoomy so we appreciate your assistance in providing us with driver feedback.
